Day 1: SRINAGAR
Srinagar is one of several places that have been called the "Venice of the East” around the city includes Dal Lake noted for its houseboats – and Nagin Lake. Srinagar has some Mughal gardens, forming a part of those laid by the Mughal emperors across the Indian subcontinent. Those of Srinagar and its close vicinity include Chashma Shahi (the royal fountains) Pari Mahal (the palace of the fairies) Nishat Bagh (the garden of spring) Shalimar Bagh Arriving in Srinagar elevation 5,200 ft.Transfers to houseboat in Dal Lake.
DAY 2: Shikara Ride
The Shikra is a type of wooden boat found on Dal Lake and other water bodies of Srinagar. They are a cultural symbol of Kashmir.
A shikara ride is one of the most soothing, relaxing aspects of a holiday in Kashmir. Ride takes tourists on a relaxing sightseeing tour of interior parts of the calm and placid waters and floating gardens of Dal Lake.
Day 3: GULMARG
Gulmarg translation “Meadow of Flowers" is a town, hill station, a popular skiing destination.
Full day trip to Gulmarg, has some of the best ski slopes in the world, and one of the highest golf courses. A short hike or pony ride up to Khilanmarg, enjoy the view from there of K2. Return to Srinagar for overnight in houseboat.
Day 4: SONAMARG
It lies at an altitude of 2800 metres above sea level. The drive to Sonamarg is through yet another spectacular facet of country side in Kashmir
Full day trip to Sonamarg, The drive through this valley presents a spectacular facet of the Kashmir countryside and Sonamarg is surrounded by mountains and pine forests. Enjoy small trek to the Thajiwas by walk or hire pony. Return to Srinagar for overnight in houseboat.
Day 5: PAHALGAM
The area houses a good population of pheasants and upland birds apart from other species, both resident and migratory. The common birds are griffon vulture, monal, snow cock, koklas, blue rock pigeon, Kashmir roller, European hoopoe, jungle crow etc
Full day trip to Pahalgam. Valley of Shepherds is situated at the confluence of the sheshnag and the lidder streams. visit magnificent view of the mountains. A number of treks in this region also begin from Pahalgam, as the 35 km trail traverses through pinewoods to the spectacular Kolahoi Glacier. Return to Srinagar for overnight in houseboat.
Day 6: MUGHAL GARDENS
Are a group of gardens built by the Mughals in the Persian style of architecture. This style was heavily influenced by the Persian gardens particularly the Charbagh structure.
Full day trip to visit Mughal Gardens (Shalimar Bag, Cheshmashahi Bag, Nishant Bag,Drive to Old Town to visit Old City and Jamia Mosque. Return to houseboat for overnight.
Day 7: DEPARTURE/SRINAGAR
After breakfast check out from houseboat and transfer to the airport for onward flight or travel.
